About Us

Who We Are

My name is Pastor John Ramer and I'm so glad you found us on the web. Jesus completely changed my life -- rescuing me from a lifestyle of destruction, selfishness and false joy. I thought I was really living, but inside I was dying and always felt empty. Jesus alone gave me real life because we were created for authentic relationships of love, both with God and one another. My passion is to point others to the same grace I found in Jesus Christ and help them grow spiritually. I am devoted to clearly proclaiming Jesus through relevant explanation and application of God's Word in Sunday worship celebrations. We are building in love a community that is committed to loving, encouraging and supporting one another in spiritual growth.

Our mission statement expresses the very core of our identity:

We exist to love God in growing community while sharing Jesus with everyone.

No matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey, you will be warmly welcomed. We don't expect everyone who comes in to be a follower of Jesus, but we do hope that anyone who hangs out with us will be interested in growing spiritually. We are a safe place, but safe doesn't mean comfortable. Real answers to life's important questions rarely are comfortable. But we are convinced that living in the truth of who God is in Jesus Christ is better than being naïve or unaware of what is at stake in our lives.

While our dress is casual, we are passionate about connecting people to God's love and truth for living in the 21st century by teaching God's Word on Sunday morning in ways that make sense in today's world. We believe that no one embodies the truth about God and daily living better than Jesus Christ, and that is why we have made following Jesus the highest priority of our lives. We have discovered the authentic and meaning-filled life which we all want is found in Him and lived out in authentic community as we conform our lives to God's Word.

We have the same approach with our worship music; our band will sound musically like the kind of songs you probably listen to, but the words will be about God. Most of the time our songs are pretty new, but sometimes we enjoy an "oldie but goodie." Experiencing God in worship is a high priority for our community of faith.

We care about our local community. Some of the ways we express this is through our food-pantry and clothes closet which have operated for many years serving those who are need in our community.

We have a variety of small groups for spiritual growth that take place at different times of the year in a different formats. Check the GROWTH page.

Periodically we offer the nationally-known ministries called GRIEF-SHARE for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. It provides a warm group setting for support, encouragement and understanding of the procees of grief. We also offer Dave Ramsey's FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY, an excellent seminar for how to get out of debt and gain control of your finances. Please see the MINISTRIES page or contact the church office for more information.

For more information contact us through email or phone. But the best way to discover who we are is to come and experience our worship celebration on Sundays at 10:00 am. You will be warmly welcomed!
